About inVISIBLE

Welcome!
This free workshop series is focused on writing and zine-making for LGBTQQ2S (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, queer, questioning and 2-spirited) youth and their allies in Thunder Bay.

During monthly, 3hr workshops, come and hone your creative writing, visual arts skills, and create a final product - a zine!

Susan Goldberg and Lora Northway are going to lead the way. The project will coincide with Thunder Pride celebrations, where we will launch the zine and party!

Next meeting at Def Sup 6-9pm

  • September 29th
  • October 20th
  • November 17th
  • December 15th
  • January 19th
  • February 16th
  • March 22nd
  • April 19th
  • May 17th
  • June TBD

What is a ZINE?!?

A zine is a bit like a do-it-yourself magazine! Featuring your personal ideas, found art, personal and political musings, and more.

Zines are generally created using collage, hand drawing, photography, word processing and photocopying.

They can be as targeted and focused to the individual or collective creating them.

What to POST?!?

This blog is an open space for your content. If you're working on a piece of art that's in progress, or a poem you just knocked off before class. If you have thoughts, musings, or pictures you want to share. What about that article you just read that you can't stop thinking about?

Well you can post it here!

All content is reviewed before posting, please be respectful, and if you want to stay anonymous that's totally allowed too!
